Who is your ideal athlete to work with?

I can really relate to the journey of the prenatal and post-partum runner but love working with all running athletes.

What do you love about being a physical therapist?

I love being able to give runners back the love of running. So often we get plagued with injuries or nature body changes, my job is to help each athlete hold onto the love and joy of running - pain-free.

How does a custom plan help an athlete meet their goal?

Each runner brings a different level of experience. With that experience, there are layers of life stressors (family, friends, work, health, etc). A personalized plan helps meet each athlete where they are now for their journey forward.

What is your why?

I was a patient before I was a physical therapist. At that time, my PT told me to stop running and we know that's not something you tell a runner. I wanted to learn anything and everything around the running athlete to better serve myself and others - to run pain-free, strong. and forever.

What is your proudest running accomplishment?

hmmm that would probably date back to college at my last regional meet; I felt strong and so focused.

What else would you like to share about yourself?

I ran cross country and track through college. I created a 5K in my city that raised scholarship for student-athletes in my city - this run last 12 years, providing over $10,000 in scholarship. I've taken time off running to grow my family - I have four wonderful children. I'm excited to invest time in myself again, now that some of the mom guilt is gone because they can bike with me now. No playlist (I don't trust people) but I do love the sound of gravel beneath my feet.
